<p>Yili Oasis is located in the territory of Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Data developed based on Google Earth images show that the oasis range is 43°17 '18 "N-44°24' 24" N,80°23 '12 "E-84°13' 38" E. The total area of the oasis calculated based on Albers projection is 9929.19 km2, and the total circumference of the oasis calculated based on Lambert projection is 2666.09 km. The rivers that nourish the oasis of the Ili River Valley include the Tex River, the Kashgar River, the Kunes River, the Kuksu River and the Ili River, with main streams of 411.26 km, 303.00 km, 234.83 km, 198.14 km and 192.75 km respectively. The Yili River Catchment is the catchment area of the rivers that maintain the existence of the Ili River Valley oasis. Its specific location is 42°15′31 "N-44°50′31" N, 79°23′11 "E-84°59′58" E. The catchment area is 62,713.63 km², and the boundary length of the catchment area is 1,719.72 km. The watershed elevation classification dataset was developed based on ASTER GDEM 30m data. There is one type below the elevation of 500 m, and it is divided into one category every 500 m upward. There are a total of 13 types. The data set includes: (1) boundary data of the Ili River Valley oasis in China;(2) data of the water system that nourishes the oasis;(3) boundary data of the watershed; and (4) elevation classification data of the watershed. The data set is stored in.kmz,.shp, and.tif formats, and consists of 43 data files, with a data volume of 70.1 MB (compressed into 4 files, 46.5 MB). </p>
