<p>Keriya River Oasis is located in Hotan Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Its geographical location is 36°24′57″N-37°09′26″N, 81°06′54″E-82°15′43″E. The Kriya River Oasis consists of 17 oases. The total area of the oasis calculated based on Albers projection is 1,770.72 km², and the total circumference of the oasis calculated based on Lambert projection is 1,192.99 km. Among them, the largest oasis has an area of 1,714.05 km² and a circumference of 1,006.02 km. 98.68% of the Kerya River Oasis area is in Yutian County, and 1.32% is in Celle County. The Kriya River Oasis System refers to the water system composed of rivers that nourish the Kriya River Oasis, mainly including the Kriya River, the Pisge River and the Yemia River, with main streams of 582.90 km, 107.08 km and 136.22 km respectively (Lambert projection). The mountainous part of the Kerya River Oasis River Basin is the catchment area of the upper reaches of the rivers (mountainous part) that maintains the Kerya River Oasis. The geographical location of the catchment area is 35°11'08" N-36°35'40" N, 81°06'59" E-83°48'12" E. The catchment area is 17,291.29 km² (Albers projection) and the boundary length is 887.32 km (Lambert projection). 99.39% of the catchment area is located in Hotan Prefecture (among which, the oases in Yutian County, Minfeng County, and Celle County account for 71.00%, 22.00%, and 6.39% respectively);0.61% is located in the Ngari Prefecture of the Tibet Autonomous Region. Some elevation classification data in the mountainous area of the Kerya River Basin classifies the height below 2500 meters into category 1, and divides it into 10 types at intervals of every 500 meters upward. The dataset is developed based on Google earth images, ASTER GDEM 30m data, and combined with measured data. The data set includes: (1) boundary data of the Kerya River Oasis;(2) water system data that nourishes the Kerya River Oasis;(3) boundary data of river catchments (mountainous areas) of the Kerya River Oasis;(4) Elevation classification data of the catchments (mountainous areas). The dataset is stored in.kmz,.shp, and.tif data formats and consists of 48 data files with a data volume of 45.4 MB (compressed into 4 files, 29.5 MB). </p>
