<p>This dataset is a scanned copy of the Atlas of the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, a comprehensive scientific reference atlas integrating natural geography, social economy, history and culture. The content of the atlas is strictly structured and contains a total of 47 map pages, systematically displaying Uzbekistan's natural environment, resource endowments and achievements in national economic construction. The atlas is written in Uzbek. Physical geography section: - - Basic base map: including administrative maps, geological maps, and natural geographical zoning maps. - - Climate elements: covering solar radiation, temperature (ground and air), cloud cover, precipitation (interannual and seasonal), frost-free period, snow depth, thermal conditions for vegetation growth and the sum of effective temperatures. - - Biology and Soil: Including soil maps, vegetation maps, zoogeographical maps, distribution of protected animal and plant species, and network of nature reserves. Socio-economic component: - - Population and humanities: population density distribution, educational institutions (primary and secondary schools and universities), cultural facilities (libraries, theaters, museums), medical and health care and historical evolution (boundary delineation from 1924 to 1925). - - Economic industries: covering the distribution of economic industries, light industry and food processing industry, cotton planting (leading industry), animal husbandry, comprehensive agricultural maps, water supply and heating facilities, import and export trade types and distribution. - - Infrastructure and transportation: introduction to road transportation network, tourist maps and tourist routes. Historical section: Contains an overview of state construction in the Soviet Union and Central Asia (1: 12,000,000) and a thematic map of the situation in the 1970s (1976 - 1980). </p>

The data source of this atlas was jointly compiled by top universities and scientific research institutions in Uzbekistan: Editor-in-chief: No. 7 Cartography Factory of the State General Administration for Geodesy and Cartography (GUGK) of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union (responsible for compilation, typesetting and printing). Scientific preparation unit: - - Department of Geography, Tashkent State University - - Institute of Geography, Academy of Sciences, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic Professional data collaboration unit: - - Botany data: V.L. Komarov Institute of Nominated Plants (Alpine Belt Map). - - Soil science data: V. V. Dokuchayev Institute of Land Science (Plain Zone Map). Revision and approval agency: State Map General Administration of the Soviet Union.
The compilation of this atlas follows the standardized process of comprehensive mapping in the Soviet Union: 1. Multi-source data integration and professional division of labor: - - Subject expert responsibility system: Authoritative experts in various fields are responsible for the data processing of specific map sheets. For example, the geological map was developed by O.M. Dr. Borisov is responsible for the climate map by L.N. BABUSKIN and E.G. Expert teams such as BRODSKY processed the data to ensure the professionalism and accuracy of the data. - - Data fusion: Integrate special survey data from different research institutes (such as the Institute of Botany and the Institute of Soil Science) with the comprehensive geographical research results of universities. 2. Comprehensive analysis and cartographic summary: - - Hierarchical statistical processing: Hierarchical statistics and spatial summaries are carried out for population, economic and other data to meet the expression needs of small and medium-scale maps such as 1: 3.5 million. - - Thematic symbolization: Use a standardized legend system (universal legend) to transform complex natural phenomena (such as effective temperature sum, agricultural climate zoning) and economic indicators (such as cotton growing areas, industrial distribution) into intuitive visual symbols. 3. Editing and publishing production process: - - Reviewed by the Editorial Committee: Reviewed by Z.M. An editorial committee led by Dr. Akramov finalized the structure, content and scientificity of the atlas. - - Industrial printing: At the GUGK No. 7 Printing Factory, a 6-color sheet-fed offset press is used for high-precision printing, ensuring the color reproduction of the atlas and the quality stability of mass production.
The scanned version of the Comprehensive Atlas of Uzbekistan is stored in JPG format. The resolution of the original scanned data is 5551×3507 pixels, and the output resolution is 300 dpi. During the collation process, only "Qwen3-Thousand Questions" is used to translate the map name, publishing information, catalog, Uzbekistan introduction and other contents into Chinese.
