<p>The Weigan-Kuqa River Oasis, including the Weigan River Oasis and the Baicheng-Kuqa Oasis, is located in the Aksu Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The geographical location of the Weigan River Oasis is 40°56 '57 "N-41°51' 20" N, 82°07 '44 "E-83°47' 25" E. The Weigan River Oasis consists of 2 oases, with a total area of 6,600.17 km² (Albers projection) and a total circumference of 1,239.86 km (Lambert projection). 50.89% of the oasis area is located in Kuqa County, 28.54% is located in Shaya County, and 20.57% is located in Xinhe County. The geographical location of Baicheng-Kuche Oasis is 41°35′22″N-42°15′43″N, 80°57′35″E-82°44′37″E. The Baicheng-Kuche Oasis consists of 52 oases, with a total area of 2,034.47 km² and a total circumference of 1,512.30 km. 97.95% of the oasis area is located in Baicheng County, and 2.05% is located in Wensu County. The main rivers that nourish and maintain the Weigan-Kuqa River oasis are the Muzarte River, the Kuqa River and the Kamuslang River, with their main streams of 230.81 km, 181.76 km and 116.18 km respectively. The geographical location of the mountainous part of the Weigan-Kuqa River Basin is 41°46 '38 "N-42°38' 51" N, 80°15 '1 "E-83°44'40" E. The circumference of this part of the basin is 869.66 km and the area is 11,988.73 km². Among them, 64.35% of the area is in Baicheng County, 22.87% is in Kuche City, and 12.78% is in Wensu County. Some elevations in mountainous areas in the basin are divided into 12 types. The dataset was developed based on Google Earth images, ASTER GDEM 30m data, and measured data. The data set includes: (1) Weigan River oasis boundary data;(2) Baicheng-Kuqa oasis boundary data;(3) Weigan-Kuqa River water system data;(4) Weigan-Kuqa River Basin mountainous boundary data;(5) Elevation classification data of part of mountainous areas in the Weigan-Kuqa River Basin. The dataset is stored in.kmz,.shp, and.tif data formats and consists of 60 data files with a data volume of 72.8 MB (compressed into 5 files, 47.5 MB). </p>
