The 2022 Taklimakan Sand surface sample grain size data set is obtained from field investigation and production of this project. It includes five fields: sample site longitude, latitude, sample site description, particle size classification and volume percentage, with a total of 480 records. All data are collected in the field. During the collection process, the collection method for sand samples described in the book "Wind-sand Landforms of the Kumtagg Desert was strictly followed, that is, a sand surface with an area of about 20cm * 20cm was selected at the sampling point, and the sand particles with a surface of 0-1 cm were evenly collected, and the sample weight was 500-1000g. During the later sample processing process, the Laser Particle Size Laboratory of Shaanxi Normal University with particle size measurement qualifications was selected for indoor analysis. The particle size analysis used a Malvern 3000 particle size analyzer, and the measurement results were volume percentages.
