<p>The Tarim Desert Highway (G216) was completed in 1995. It runs from Luntai County to Minfeng County and runs through the Taklimakan Desert from north to south. It is the longest highway in the world through a mobile desert. The Tarim Desert Highway Protection Oasis consists of a green belt that protects the Tarim Desert Highway. The oasis vegetation is mainly composed of wind-proof and sand-fixing shrubs such as Tamarix, Calligonum, and Haloxylon ammodendron. The geographical location of the oasis is 37°22′59″N-40°49′17″N, 82°50′19″E-84°20′22″E. The Tarim Desert Highway protective oasis has an area of 52.26 km2 (Albers) and a length of approximately 420 km. The dataset is stored in.kmz and.shp data formats and consists of 16 data files with a data volume of 13.4 MB (compressed into 2 files, 5.31 MB). </p>
