<p>The Oasis of the Aibi Lake Basin is located in Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Its geographical location is 44°23′32″N-45°12′49″N, 80°46′24″E-83°02′35″E. The oasis consists of 127 oases with a total area of 4,497.00 km². The main rivers in the Aibinur Lake Basin are Bortala River, Kuitun River and Jinghe River, etc., with main streams of 265.99 km, 178.49 km and 127.50 km respectively. The main lakes are Aibi Lake and Selimu Lake, which have an area of 1,445.56 km² and 464.20 km² respectively. The geographical location of the mountainous part of the Aibinur Lake Basin is 43°37′47″N-45°41′19″N, 79°52′54″E-85°05′24″E. Its area is 26,591.07 km². This part of the basin is a transnational basin, with approximately 99.22% of the area in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (of which 51.96% is in Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, 45.51% is in Tacheng Prefecture, 2.06% is in Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, 0.41% is in Shuanghe City, 0.06% is in Karamay City), and 0.78% is in Kazakhstan. Some elevations in the mountainous areas of the Aibinur Lake Basin are divided into 10 types. The dataset was developed based on Google Earth images, ASTER GDEM 30m data, and measured data. The data set includes: (1) boundary data of the oasis in the Aibinur Lake Basin;(2) water system data of the Aibinur Lake Basin;(3) boundary data of the mountainous part of the Aibinur Lake Basin; and (4) elevation classification data of the mountainous part of the Aibinur Lake Basin. The dataset is stored in.kmz,.shp and.tif data formats and consists of 75 data files with a data volume of 39.9 MB (compressed into 6 files, 25.4 MB). </p>
