<p>This dataset includes water quality mineralization data of seven rivers (11 observation points) in Tajikistan: Gunt River, Vakhsh river, Varzob River, Kafernigan River, Karatag River, Yakhsu River, and Kyzylsu River, as well as water level and water consumption data of three rivers, Kafernigan River, Panj River and Vakhsh River, as well as monthly precipitation and monthly temperature data of meteorological stations in Vakhsh river and Karatag River. Mineralization data includes 12 indicators: Mineralization, suspended matter, pH, sodium content, potassium content, oxygen content, chemical oxygen demand, nitrogen content, nitrite nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, total nitrogen and phosphorus content. Water samples are collected 1-3 times a year, and monthly sampling values, annual average values, and maximum allowable concentration values of mineralization and suspended matter are recorded respectively. </p>
Provided by the Institute of Water Issues of the Tajikistan Academy of Sciences and purchased through a pilot project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The raw data purchased are documents in doc format.
Files in doc format were converted into files in xls format. The data content was unprocessed, and each file was renamed.
The missing time in water quality data since records began in 1990 occurred mainly from 1994 to 1997, which is likely related to changes in social forms at that time. Hydrological data includes water consumption and water level indicators, recording monthly observation values and annual average values. Each station has missing records at different times. The missing records of hydrological data may be related to altitude, temperature, and seasonal changes, and have occurred continuously for many years. If there is no record, it may be caused by equipment failure.
