<p>This dataset is a 7-issue TM remote sensing image dataset of Balkhash Lake from 1992 to 2020. The image mapping time is 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2020. The data consists of three RGB bands, stored in tiff format, with a spatial resolution of 30 meters. </p>

This data comes from the U.S. Geological Survey (http://glovis.usgs.gov) and includes Landsat TM/ETM+/OLI data from 1987 to 2019. Landsat (Landsat) is a U.S. Earth Resources Satellite series. It is a series of Earth observation satellite systems used by the United States to detect Earth's resources and environment. It was once called the Earth Resources Technology Satellite (ERTS). Since the launch of Landsat 1 on July 23, 1972, Landsat 5 had been launched on March 1, 1984. Landsat 6 launch failed. Landsat-7 was launched on April 15, 1999 and still carries out important tasks. In terms of data products, the main differences between Landsat-7 and Landsat-5 are: the addition of a panchromatic band (PAN band) with a resolution of 15 meters; the data in Band 6 is divided into low-gain and high-gain data, and the resolution is increased from 120 meters to 60 meters. The selected data meets the following requirements: ① Less cloud coverage (cloud coverage rate of 30%);② Less shadows and clear color layers;③ No noise.
The downloaded image is a L1-level product. ENVI software is used to combine the image data to obtain a multi-spectral image containing 6 bands (B, G, R, NIR, SWIR1, SWIR2) with a spatial resolution of 30m. Finally, the images are mosaically processed according to the scope of the study area, and a time series image dataset of the study area is finally formed.
The data phase is concentrated from April to October, the cloud cover range is controlled within 30%, and the overlap between adjacent images is about 30%. The image information is clear and rich, and there are no noise, spots and bad lines. The overall color of the image is uniform and the brightness is moderate.
