<p>This data uses TM and MSS satellite images in the mid-1980s and early 1990s, TM and SPOT satellite images of different scales such as 1999, and various electronic geographical data files accumulated by the institute to build a Xinjiang ecological background database, which is rich and intuitive. It reflects Xinjiang's basic natural resources of desertification in the 1990s. The data covers the entire Xinjiang region, with a scale of 1:1 million, and adopts Lambert's area cone projection method. </p>

The 1:1 million desert distribution map of Xinjiang produced by the Xinjiang Forestry Department in 1999, TM and MSS satellite photos in the mid-1980s and early 1990s, and TM and SPOT satellite photos in 1999.
Combined with the Xinjiang Desert Distribution Map (1:1 million), TM and other remote sensing data are interpreted.
Scan, vectorize, and re-encode. The coding design of the Xinjiang Grassland Resources Database is based on the 1:1 million Xinjiang Desertification Map, adopts the desertification classification system of the map, is designed according to the markings of the map, combined with coding principles, and adopts an 11-digit code.
