This dataset mainly includes 7161 monthly data of 7 elements from 12 field meteorological observation stations in Kazakhstan (5 stations), Kyrgyzstan (1 station), Tajikistan (3 stations), Uzbekistan (1 station), and Iran (2 stations). Due to the different installation and commissioning times of the instrument, the data time is as early as October 2012, starting from January 2019 at the latest, and ending in December 2021.

Monthly meteorological observation data from 12 observation stations in Central Asia, including Kazakhstan (5 stations), Kyrgyzstan (1 station), Tajikistan (3 stations), Uzbekistan (1 station), and Iran (2 stations). The Field Ecological Observatory is jointly built by the Central Asian Ecology and Environment Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Central Asian Cooperation Unit.
The raw observation day data obtained by meteorological observation equipment is transmitted to the data sub-centers of various countries (the three sub-centers of the Central Asian Ecology and Environment Research Center in Almaty, Dushanbe, and Bishkek) through overseas telecommunications networks. The data sub-centers then transmit the raw data. The data is sent back to the server of the domestic headquarters. The data processing personnel check the raw data, remove outliers, interpolate it, and compile it into monthly data.
Depending on the installation and activation time of the device, the start time for data acquisition will vary. The value of "-99999" appears in the data represents a "null value"(data is missing, no data). It is because the network signal of the station is abnormal, resulting in data transmission being dropped, or because the equipment is powered off, and other environmental factors affect the normal operation of the equipment, etc., resulting in intermittent data loss; the value of "0" appears in the data represents a 0 value, which is a normal value. Data processing technical methods and quality control refer to WMO-NO.8, WMO-NO.305, Foken Thomas (2017).
