<p>This book is a collection of papers on water resources research in Central Asia (especially southeastern Kazakhstan and Xinjiang in China), covering hydrogeology, hydrology, water resources management, mathematical models and computer simulations. The book discusses the formation process, runoff characteristics, and ecological status of surface water and groundwater, as well as water resource protection measures in Balkhash Lake, Lop Nur, and Aibi Lake basins.
