Datasets description

<p>This data records the number and area of glaciers in various mountainous areas of Kyrgyzstan; the number, area, glacier reserves, glacier end height, snow line height, and upper point data of 12 rivers and lakes such as Chu-Taras-Arthur; the names, morphological types, names, length, area, and terminal height data of major glaciers in Shengli Peak Area, Kokshartau, Waiarai Mountain, Akhirac Mountain, Tyres Mountain, Kuiliu Mountain, and Kunga Aratau Mountain; Glacier area, glacier degree and basin area of the Amu Darya River, Syr Darya River, Chu-Talas-Arthur, Tarim River, and Issyk-Lake river basins; water catchment area, glacier degree, runoff formed on the water catchment area, glacier runoff (year), glacier runoff modulus of 15 rivers in each basin; recharge rate of different river replenishment methods; The percentages of recharge under four methods, including runoff during the ice melting period and rainwater recharge, for the 12 rivers in the Chu River, Issyk Lake Basin, and Syr Darya River Basin. There are 7 data tables in total. Data is stored in.xlsx format. </p>

Data source description

The data comes from "The Atlas of Kyrgyzstan, Volume 1, Natural Conditions and Resources" published in Moscow in 1987 and "Current Situation of Kyrgyzstan's Water Resources" published in 2007, provided by the National Hydrology Institute of Kyrgyzstan.
