<p>This data reflects the distribution of lakes and river systems within the five Central Asian countries in 2010. There are a total of 15358 river and lake area vectors in the data. The attribute table contains the TM data source information used, the area, length, center point coordinates, etc. of the lake or river; the projection coordinates are GCS_WGS_1984, and the scale is 1: 250,000. </p>
TM remote sensing data for July, August, September and October during the annual wet periods in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010.
Using ENVI and eCognition software, we select green and near-infrared bands that strongly reflect the water body for superposition calculation. The water body extraction formula is TM2 + TM3-TM4-TM5, superimpose TM data under the generated vector layer, and correct it through manual intervention to produce the final data product.
Data collection is carried out in accordance with vectorization standards and corrected strictly in accordance with TM data.
