This monograph is divided into four parts. The first part summarizes the background, significance and methods of investigation of perennial forage resources in Kazakhstan, including transect sampling, phenological period inspection, biomass determination and chemical composition analysis. The second part systematically describes the morphological characteristics, habitat distribution, resource evaluation and nutritional components of about 135 species of forage and forage plants in more than 20 families by family → genus and species, and attaches concise identification keys to facilitate on-site identification. The third part summarizes the resource amount, community structure and productivity indicators of each ecological area (natural grassland, desert oases, alpine meadows, etc.) through multiple regional distribution maps and statistical tables to provide quantitative data for grassland management and sustainable use. The fourth part includes 186 Chinese, Russian and English academic documents, as well as a Latin-Russian-Chinese plant name comparison table, species index and chart catalog for convenient retrieval and verification.
