The Bayinbuluke Grassland Ecological Station is located in Arshat Village, Bayingoleng Township, Hejing County, Bayingoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is located in the western part of the Dayurdus Basin in the middle of the Tianshan Mountains, E83°43 ', N42°54', more than 700 kilometers away from Urumqi City, with an altitude of 2470 meters. The east boundary is Dushanzi-Kuche National Defense Highway, the north is Bayinbuluke General Ranch, and the west and south are Bayingoleng Township winter grassland. The average temperature of the station is-4.8℃, and the lowest temperature in January can reach-48℃. The average annual precipitation is 276.2 mm, the annual evaporation is 1022.9-1247.5 mm, the annual sunshine is 2,466 - 2,616 hours, and the annual snow days are 150-180 days. There is no absolute frost-free period. It is a typical alpine climate. Bayinbulak Grassland Ecology Research Station is the only grassland scientific research base in Xinjiang. The total land area of the station area is 68.7 hm2, with 667,000 hm2 in the experimental area, including 23.3 hm2 in the gramineous forage seed base, 40 hm2 in the extension area, and 3.4 hm2 in various plot experimental areas. The total building area is 860 m2, including 140 m2 for living rooms, 120 m2 for working rooms, 223.6 m2 for warehouses (grass seed warehouses, oil depots, material warehouses), 20 m2 for water wells, 10 m2 for toilets, 10 m2 for renovated power supply rooms, 12 m2 for agricultural machinery rooms, 160 m2 for meteorological observation stations and sheeppens, and 164.4 m2 for greenhouses. For a long time, with the Tianshan Mountains as the core, basic and characteristic research has been carried out on major theoretical and hot issues such as the restoration and reconstruction of degraded ecosystems, the response of alpine grassland ecosystems (wetlands) to global changes, ecosystem functions and regional sustainable development. It has become an important research base for alpine grassland ecosystems and is important for revealing the connections and laws between mountain ecosystems, oasis ecosystems and desert ecosystems. As well as Xinjiang's economic development and environmental construction are of great significance.
