%X This book systematically studies the natural conditions, hydrological conditions, water quality characteristics, aquatic organisms and fish resources of eight large lakes in the Soviet Union (Lake Ladoga, Lake Onega, Lake Irmen, Lake Chud-Pskov, Lake Chane, Lake Isyk). Each chapter is arranged in a unified structure. First, it summarizes the natural geographical conditions and morphological characteristics, hydrological dynamics, hydrochemical composition and biological communities of the lake, and then analyzes possible changes in its resources (covering water resource volume, water quality trends, biological resources and fishery impact), and finally puts forward conclusions and protection suggestions. The book aims to provide scientific basis for the rational utilization and protection of lake resources.
