Several articles describe experiences with applying this method.Storing snow on the fields reduces the amount of snow carried by the wind, thereby reducing the harm of snow accumulation. The joint measures of snow interception and snow damage prevention will make the fullest use of the snow cover.Several methodological articles are also included in the collection. Materials covering the physical and mechanical properties of snow cover, the role of snow cover in natural processes, its geographical distribution rules, and the formation process of snowmelt and runoff will be published at the same time in another special edition.
