%X This collection of works is compiled to commemorate the 8th Congress of the All-Soviet Geographical Society and contains articles from members of the Tatar Branch of the Soviet Geographical Society. This paper discusses the basic scientific research tasks of the branch, involving issues in the fields of physical geography and geomorphology, meteorology and climatology. Research in economic geography and medical geography, nature conservation and ethnology is also valuable. The collection is open to the vast number of geographical professionals.
