It represents a continuation of the study of the rich heritage left to us by our ancestors and draws upon the numerous works of outstanding scholars and physicians who lived and worked on Turkmen soil in ancient times. It is also based on the experience of the Turkmen people, whose special talents and skills enabled them to understand the diversity and generosity of their native land. In this volume, I have sought to reveal the medicinal properties of indigenous plant species that are widely used in folk medicine and occur naturally within our country.Using a scientific approach, I have examined the customs, traditions, and various methods of preparing medicinal plants in folk medicine. These practices, refined and enriched by our ancestors over many centuries, have become an integral part of Turkmen national heritage. Taking into account the latest achievements in world pharmacotherapy, and building upon the scientific educational materials presented in previous volumes, I have conveyed extensive knowledge about plant-based medicines to the people. The chapters of this volume contain reliable information on 101 medicinal plant species whose therapeutic value has been elevated to a scientifically validated medical level, making them a precious source of plant-derived healing resources.The flora of Turkmenistan is renowned for its exceptional richness and has served for centuries as an inexhaustible source of remedies for a wide range of diseases.
