天山北坡中段绿洲的地理位置是43°18′58″N-45°49′02″N, 83°29′20″E-90°39′48″E, 覆盖新疆维吾尔自治区塔城地区、博尔塔拉蒙古自治州、昌吉回族自治州、乌鲁木齐市与克拉玛依市。天山北坡中段绿洲由11块绿洲组成，总面积为35,924.05 km²（Albers），其中，最大的绿洲面积为34,941.06 km²。滋养天山北坡中段绿洲的河流主要有玛纳斯河、三屯河和呼图壁河，它们的干流长度分别为403.97 km、182.13 km和176.62 km。天山北坡中段流域山区部分的地理位置是43°01′19″N-44°38′52″N，82°56′35″E-90°42′32″E，面积为31,995.12 km²，高程被分为10大类。该数据集包括：（1）绿洲范围数据；（2）滋养绿洲的水系数据；（3）流域山区部分的边界数据；（4）山区部分高程分类数据。数据集以.kmz，.shp与.tif数据格式存储，由70个数据文件组成，数据量207 MB（压缩为5个文件，70.4 MB）。
