我谨将这部百科全书的第四卷献给我亲爱的土库曼人民。在本书中，我从科学角度论证医学科学的发展、人类长寿以及健康生活方式的好处，旨在提升土库曼科学在世界上的声誉，造福每一个人。\n在我国，人民的医疗卫生与环境保护和改善措施紧密相连。因为人类需要清洁新鲜的空气、壮丽的自然风光、有益健康、营养丰富、生态安全的食品和各种维生素。自然是人类生活所需一切之源。首先是人人都需要的呼吸的空气、水、光；总的来说，人类的一切存在都与自然相连。而土库曼的大自然蕴藏着极其丰富的药用植物。如今已无法想象没有植物源药物的医疗实践。因此，1999年成立了药用植物研究所，从那时起，就对生长在土库曼斯坦境内的药用植物进行研究，以便为我国自己的制药工业提供本地植物原料。\n我国的伟大独立使得全面深入研究土库曼民间医学中使用的药用植物成为可能。因此，我在考察了人民关于药用植物的习俗和传统，以及当地居民在民间医学中制备植物源药物的各种方法（这些方法已被我们先辈发展成为土库曼民族的宝贵财富）之后，并借鉴世界先进经验，在《土库曼斯坦药用植物》一书中，依据从古至今的科学医学数据，记述了土库曼的药用植物及其治疗特性。\n本书不仅展示了我国首都和各州医疗卫生体系发展的照片，还展示了新建的疗养院和医疗中心（采用了先进的科学技术成果），以及我国近期建造的疗养系统、休闲和旅游业的设施。在本书各章节中，可以找到关于民间医学中使用并被我们先辈提升到科学水平的植物源药物的完整而必要的信息。关于155种药用植物的详尽数据，它们被视为宝贵的植物源治疗财富。本书的主要目的是拓宽医疗服务人员、药用植物储存和采集人员，以及所有从事植物源药物工作者的知识，内容涉及药用植物的结构、自然栖息地、特征、化学成分、生长条件、医学实践应用，以及采集时间、方法和储存规则，还有其生态意义。\n在土库曼民间医学中，几个世纪以来一直使用和应用着生长在土库曼土地上的2000多种药用植物。这部十卷本《土库曼斯坦药用植物》第一卷共三章，介绍约206种药用植物；第二卷共两章，介绍202种植物源药物；第三卷记述了药用植物王国宝贵治疗财富中的141种药用植物，并附有按治疗作用分类的植物疗法索引。在土库曼民间医学，即民族医学中，几个世纪以来一直使用和应用着2000多种药用植物。\n亲爱的读者们！请记住！植物源药物只能在医生建议和指导下使用！请记住！你不仅要知道植物源药物对健康的正确作用，还要知道如何使用它。此外，你还应根据书中给出的处方制备药物并妥善保存！我相信这本书将促进人民的健康。愿土库曼大自然造福人民健康的源泉永不枯竭！愿人与自然永远和谐共存！\n

For this reason, the Institute of Medicinal Plants was established in 1999, and since then it has conducted research on medicinal plants growing within Turkmenistan in order to supply the country's pharmaceutical industry with locally sourced plant raw materials.\r\n\r\nThe great independence of our nation has made it possible to undertake comprehensive and in-depth research on the medicinal plants used in Turkmen folk medicine. Therefore, after studying the customs and traditions associated with medicinal plants, as well as the various methods used by local people to prepare plant-based remedies in folk medicine, methods that our ancestors transformed into a treasured component of Turkmen national heritage, and after drawing upon the best international experience, I described Turkmen medicinal plants and their therapeutic properties in the book Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan, based on scientific medical knowledge accumulated from ancient times to the present day.\r\n\r\nThis volume not only contains photographs illustrating the development of the healthcare system in the capital and the regions of our country, but also presents newly constructed sanatoria and medical centers equipped with advanced scientific and technological achievements, as well as facilities recently built for health resorts, recreation, and tourism. The chapters of this book provide complete and essential information on plant-based medicines used in folk medicine and elevated to a scientific level by our ancestors. Detailed information is presented on 155 medicinal plant species regarded as valuable plant-derived therapeutic resources. The main purpose of this book is to broaden the knowledge of healthcare workers, collectors and custodians of medicinal plant materials, and all those working with plant-based remedies. The information covers plant structure, natural habitats, distinguishing characteristics, chemical composition, growth conditions, practical medical applications, collection periods and methods, storage regulations, and ecological significance.\r\n\r\nFor centuries, more than 2,000 medicinal plant species growing on Turkmen soil have been used in Turkmen folk medicine. The ten-volume series Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan presents this rich heritage in detail. The first volume, consisting of three chapters, describes approximately 206 medicinal plants. The second volume, comprising two chapters, discusses 202 plant-derived medicinal substances.
