Рогов）的《阿姆河三角洲水文学》是国家海洋学研究所准备出版的苏联河口区域水文地理专著系列中的第二部。\n阿姆河三角洲拥有巨大的土地和水资源、有利农业的气候条件，加之当地居民拥有数百年灌溉农业的经验，具有非常重要的国民经济意义。卡拉卡尔帕克苏维埃社会主义自治共和国居民的经济活动几乎完全依赖于三角洲自然资源的利用。然而，当前三角洲自然资源的利用与其潜在可能性并不相称。造成这种状况的原因之一是水系网极其剧烈的变化。\n除了国民经济意义外，阿姆河三角洲的研究对三角洲形成的一般理论也具有重要价值，因为它属于典型的亚热带河流三角洲类型，具有高含沙量的特征。基于此，国家海洋学研究所河口研究实验室开展了专门的长期工作，研究水文状况和水系网动态——作为三角洲整个自然综合体发展中最重要的主导因素。这些研究以本专著告一段落。\n专著作者М. One of the reasons for this situation is the extremely rapid and profound changes occurring within its hydrographic network.\r\n\r\nIn addition to its economic significance, the study of the Amu Darya Delta is of considerable value for the general theory of delta formation, since it represents a typical subtropical river delta characterized by a high sediment load. For this reason, the Estuarine Research Laboratory of the State Oceanographic Institute undertook a specialized long-term investigation of the hydrological regime and the dynamics of the hydrographic network, which constitute the most important controlling factors in the development of the delta's entire natural complex. The present monograph represents the culmination of these studies.\r\n\r\nThe author of the monograph, M. M. Rogov, not only collected and systematized a vast body of published and archival materials, but also made extensive use of his own observations gathered during field expeditions to the delta between 1952 and 1954.
